Edited by former Cardiff PhD student, Beatrice Fannon, a new collection of essays on Medieval English Literature is due to be published in December 2015.
Featuring essays by several members of the MEMORI initiative, the volume provides a fresh and stimulating guide to medieval literature. It examines major authors such as Chaucer, Langland and the Gawain Poet, and covers key topics in medieval literature, including gender, class, and courtly and popular culture. The volume shows the ways in which modern critical and theoretical issues have come to influence the reading of the Middle Ages and its rich diversity.
Contributors to the volume include John Hines, Catherine Batt, Raluca Radulescu, Stephen Knight, Helen Phillips, Rob Gossedge, Valerie Allen, Ruth Evans, Lewis Beer, Beatrice Fannon, Roger Ellis, Gill Rudd, Sheila Fisher and Martin Coyle.
